Blackdot Solutions Secures £4.5 Million Investment to Propel Global Expansion

Maven Capital Partners, through its VCTs, has led a £4.5 million funding round in Cambridge-based Blackdot Solutions, an intelligence and investigations software provider. This investment, which includes £3.7 million from Maven’s VCTs, £300,000 from another Maven client fund, and £350,000 from Scaleup Group, will allow Blackdot to enhance its product development and expand globally. Blackdot, founded in 2013, is renowned for its SaaS platform, Videris, facilitating the efficient analysis and visualization of data for risk management and compliance across public and proprietary data sources. The funds will aid in hiring technical and business development expertise and advancing the platform's AI and automation capabilities. Positioned in the burgeoning OSINT market, Blackdot aims to capitalize on increasing demand for data analysis tools driven by tighter regulatory scrutiny and risk management requirements.
