Bishop Street Completes Acquisition of Landmark Underwriting

Bishop Street Underwriters, a subsidiary of RedBird Capital Partners, has successfully completed its acquisition of Landmark Underwriting, a specialty managing general agent operating in the London insurance market. This marks Bishop Street's first acquisition beyond North America, aiming to leverage Landmark's specialized expertise to enhance its platform's capabilities. Landmark's leadership, including CEO Sitki Gelmen, will continue to manage the company, ensuring aligned strategic growth within the UK, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Landmark, established in 2017, has been active in the specialty re/insurance market with offerings in areas such as Professional Indemnity and General Liability, and plans to broaden its scope with additional lines and geographical reach. This acquisition aligns with Bishop Street's growth strategy, which includes recent acquisitions like Ethos Specialty's Transactional Liability unit, and demonstrates its commitment to expanding its international reach in the insurance sector.
