Bertram Capital Exits Best Version Media

Bertram Capital Management LLC has announced the sale of Best Version Media (BVM) to H.I.G. Capital Partners, marking Bertram's 21st exit since its inception in 2006. Best Version Media, based in Brookfield, Wisconsin, provides print and digital advertising solutions to SMBs across North America. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Bertram Capital adopted its Bertram High-5 strategy and utilized its internal IT team, Bertram Labs, to scale BVM's community magazine business and expand its digital offerings. This involved developing digital services like targeted advertising solutions, listings, and reputation management. Dave Durand, co-founder of BVM, praised Bertram's contribution to the company's technological advancements and strategic operations. The transaction was facilitated by Stephens, led by Phyllis Riggins, with support from Canaccord Genuity. Bertram Capital, a private equity firm focusing on lower middle market investments, aims to create value through operational improvements and technology integration, as exemplified by its work with BVM.
