Bertram Capital Announces Successful Closing of Ignite I

Bertram Capital Management, a prominent middle-market private equity firm, has announced the closing of its first fund extension platform, Bertram Ignite I, raising $260 million in total capital commitments. This follows the earlier success of their fifth flagship fund, Bertram Capital V, which closed in January 2024 with $1.6 billion in commitments. Bertram's strategy has always been to support lower middle-market, founder-owned businesses and with Ignite I, they aim to continue this mission by investing in both control and non-control stakes. With both existing and new global investors like pension funds, foundations, and family offices backing the fund, Ignite I has already made significant investments in companies such as Ridgeline Roofing & Restoration and MSE Supplies. The firm leverages its proprietary processes like Bertram High-5sm and its in-house tech team, Bertram Labs, to enhance value and growth. Founded in 2006, Bertram has managed over $4.0 billion in capital across six funds, investing in more than 150 acquisitions in sectors like business services, consumer, and industrial.
