Barings, a leading global real estate investment manager, has successfully secured financing of €69.7 million from BGO for the ambitious Proyecto Albufera, a high-grade speculative logistics development in Valencia, Spain. Advised by JLL, the project will be developed in three phases over a substantial 181,000 square meter plot in Moncada, Valencia, set to feature 118,091 square meters of warehouse space and 5,203 square meters of offices spread across eleven units. Strategically located near major transport routes, the development aims to achieve BREEAM Outstanding certification and cater to multiple tenants with space requirements ranging from 5,000 to 40,000 square meters. The project underscores the growing interest in the Spanish logistics sector's sustainable, high-quality developments, despite prevailing macroeconomic challenges. Construction is to be managed by Grupo Bertolín, a Valencia-based company with extensive experience in large-scale infrastructure and real estate projects.
