Austrotherm Completes Acquisition of Italy's Gruppo Poron

Austrotherm, an Austrian producer of insulating materials, has successfully completed the acquisition of nine companies forming part of Gruppo Poron, which manufactures EPS products for packaging and insulation. Bureau Plattner provided legal due diligence and handled contractual and corporate aspects of the acquisition, led by a multidisciplinary team of attorneys. The Cer family, leaders of Gruppo Poron since 1962, were advised by SAPG Legal & European Law Firm. Notarial aspects were managed by Giuliani Occorsio. Austrotherm, present in 13 European countries and recording €444 million in revenue in 2024, is part of Schmid Industrieholding. This acquisition is expected to support Austrotherm's strategic expansion and investment plans in Italy, utilizing Gruppo Poron's extensive network across the country.
