Aurora Material Solutions Acquires Lastique International Corporation

Aurora Material Solutions, a leading producer of polymer compounds, has completed its acquisition of Lastique International Corporation, a strategic move that cements Aurora's commitment to sustainable solutions and enhances its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. This acquisition, which follows six others since 2017, will see Lastique operate as a standalone business under Aurora's Sustainable Product Solutions platform. The acquisition brings significant synergies by allowing Aurora to offer both closed loop and open loop solutions using recycled and virgin compounds. This move aligns with Aurora’s strategy to expand its offerings in recycled solutions and reinforce its +Vantage Vinyl Gold certification. Nautic Partners, Aurora's equity sponsor, will support this transaction, enabling further expansion and capital deployment across North America where Aurora operates nine sites and employs nearly 500 people. Key leadership from Lastique, including Bob and Bruce Manouchehri, will continue to drive growth under Aurora's umbrella, ensuring a seamless transition into their aligned corporate cultures. This acquisition not only strengthens Aurora's market position but also provides notable growth opportunities for employees and enhanced services for customers. Founded in 1983, Lastique has established itself as a major recycler and provider of thermoplastic resins with a specialization in rigid PVC, polypropylene, and polyethylene.
