Audiological Science secures £12.4m investment from YFM Equity Partners

Audiological Science, a leading developer of hearing-related medical technology based in London, has secured a substantial £12.4 million investment from YFM Equity Partners. The funds will be used to support the company's strategic expansion across the UK, particularly in new NHS regions where demand for healthcare services is rising. Founded in 2014, Audiological Science collaborates with nine Integrated Care Boards across England, positioning itself as a significant player in audiology services. With the aid of YFM's financial backing and strategic guidance, the company is poised to enter its next phase of growth. Deep Patel, the managing director, emphasizes the synergy with YFM, mentioning that financial support will be complemented by strategic insights crucial for future scalability. The company has also appointed Jon Lowe as the non-executive chair and Phil Semke as CFO to strengthen its leadership team. Audiological Science aims to amplify its offerings, which include hearing tests and aids, to address a burgeoning market where about a quarter of the UK's population faces hearing loss issues. The company currently employs around 30 staff and has assets valued at £4.2 million.
