Atos Accepts Offer from French Government for Advanced Computing Sale
Deal News | Jun 02, 2025 | Globenewswire
Atos SE has received a firm purchase offer from the French government for its 'Advanced Computing' business, excluding 'Vision AI' activities, for an enterprise value of €410 million. The transaction is part of Atos' strategic realignment to focus on digital transformation and high-value-added analytical solutions. The exclusion of Vision AI, which includes the Ipsotek subsidiary acquired in 2021, affects the valuation, with conditional earn-outs amounting to €110 million based on profitability indicators for 2025 and 2026. The Vision AI segment, contributing significantly to operational margins, will be restructured into a new division under Eviden, fostering continued emphasis on AI, data, and security services. Atos' board has entertained the government's offer and believes it reflects a fair market value. The transaction is set for closure by 2026, without detracting from Atos' financial trajectory laid out for 2028. With 72,000 employees and near €10 billion in annual revenue, Atos remains at the forefront of digital transformation, promoting scientific and technological progress globally.
