The company was sold by its two shareholders, Gigliola Minuti and Egidio Noci, each owning 50% of ESA Service. With over 40 years of operations, ESA Service produces standard and custom equipment for helium leak testing and refrigerant gas charging, catering to diverse sectors including refrigeration, automotive, and industrial. As of 2023, ESA Service reported revenues of €11.5 million, an EBITDA of €3 million, and net liquidity of €6.5 million, showcasing steady growth since 2021. Following this acquisition, ESA Service will be integrated into Atlas Copco's Scientific Vacuum division, enhancing the company's capabilities in leak detection and gas recovery systems in Europe. The sellers were advised by Euromerger Italia as financial advisors, and law firms Carnelutti and BonelliErede provided legal assistance to the selling and buying parties, respectively. Atlas Copco, established in 1873, operates across four business areas: compressed air and vacuum solutions, energy and dehydration pumps, industrial power tools, and assembly and artificial vision solutions, concluding 2023 with €15 billion in revenues and a 21.5% operating margin.
