Atlas: Aon Acquires Israeli Marine Insurance Expert Atlas

Global insurance and reinsurance broker Aon has announced its acquisition of Atlas Insurance Agency, one of Israel's preeminent insurance firms with a specialization in marine insurance. Atlas, a Lloyd's coverholder, brings extensive experience with a 50-year industry legacy and offers various marine insurance products, including cargo, hull and machinery, and charterers liability. The acquisition aims to combine Atlas's depth of knowledge with Aon's broad capabilities in risk capital and data analytics to provide more customized and innovative client solutions. The merger is part of Aon's growth strategy in Israel's marine sector, enhancing its market presence and leadership. Key figures from Atlas, including Ronen Hakham-Aharon and Ohad Hakham-Aharon, will transition to Aon, continuing their family's legacy. Yasmin Koren, CEO of Aon's Israel operations, emphasized that the acquisition strengthens Aon's ability to assist clients with more complex and evolving risks amidst current global uncertainties.
