This funding round was led by Big Pi Ventures, with participation from Propelling Tech Ventures and over 30 strategic angels in the data and analytics community. Astrato is poised to use the funds to expand its go-to-market and engineering teams and to accelerate the development of its AI-native features aimed at enhancing exploration, automation, and intelligent decision workflows. The firm has been scaling its revenue by fivefold annually, driven by surging demand for AI-powered analytics. Astrato's platform moves away from traditional read-only dashboards, offering live, flexible data applications that enable real-time collaboration and AI-assisted data exploration. The company prides itself on being warehouse-agnostic, serving cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and Clickhouse, while offering a usage-based pricing model. This makes Astrato accessible to both startups and large enterprises alike, as it eliminates issues of data duplication, IT bottlenecks, and licensing friction. Martin Mahler, Astrato's CEO, highlights that their platform provides a no-code execution layer, which fulfills a market demand for more efficient data handling beyond traditional dashboards.
