Arthur J. Gallagher Expands in Türkiye with Aspera Acquisition

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., a global insurance brokerage and risk management services firm, has further strengthened its presence in Türkiye through the acquisition of Aspera Sigorta ve Reasrans Brokerlii A.. (Aspera), based in Istanbul. Aspera is recognized for its expertise in serving clients across a diverse range of sectors including energy & power, industrial property, financial lines, construction, and aviation & space. The acquisition was completed in an undisclosed transaction. Led by founding partner Evrim Özko, Aspera's broking team will remain with the company under the leadership of Gündüz Tezel, who oversees Gallagher's operations in Türkiye. J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr., Chairman and CEO of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., expressed his enthusiasm for this strategic acquisition, emphasizing its alignment with Gallagher's ongoing global expansion strategy. This development follows other recent acquisitions by Gallagher, including California-based Cornerstone and The John Galt Insurance Agency in Florida.
