Arcadia Forms Largest US Community Solar Company in Boston Merger

In a significant consolidation move in the green energy space, Arcadia Power and Perch Energy are merging to form the largest community solar service provider in the United States. Headquartered in Boston, the new entity will be born from the integration of Arcadia's existing massive solar operations with Perch's expertise in billing and customer acquisition. As part of the agreement, Arcadia, based in Washington D.C., will command a majority stake in the new venture, while Perch — originally spun off from BlueWave — will retain a minority stake and have representation on the board. Bruce Stewart, the current CEO of Perch, will steer the newly formed entity, orchestrating its operations from Perch's Back Bay offices in Boston. This merger signifies a pivotal step in Arcadia's strategy to further solidify its leadership in the community solar sector, which empowers consumers and businesses to partake in solar energy benefits without needing personal solar installations.
