Deal News | Mar 11, 2025 | EIN

Arcadia and Perch Energy have announced a merger of their community solar businesses, resulting in the creation of a new, standalone company that claims the distinction of being the largest pure-play community solar acquisition and management platform in the United States. The new company will be majority-owned by Arcadia, while Bruce Stewart, currently President and CEO of Perch, will lead the venture as CEO. Kiran Bhatraju, the CEO of Arcadia, will also sit on the board of the new company. With a combined expertise and experience in delivering value to solar developers and a variety of customers, the new venture aims to manage over 3 GW of solar capacity across 1,000 projects in 16 states. The merger is viewed as a natural progression in response to the maturation of the community solar sector and reflects the demand from developers and asset owners for a robust, scalable partner able to facilitate industry growth. While Arcadia will continue its own B2B software platform globally, this new venture marks a significant expansion of their community solar efforts.
