Andy Callahan Joins CD&R as Operating Advisor

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R), a leading private investment firm, has announced the appointment of Andy Callahan as an Operating Advisor to CD&R funds. Andy Callahan, who brings nearly three decades of leadership experience in the consumer packaged goods industry from high-profile companies like Hostess Brands, Tyson Foods, The Hillshire Brands Company, Sara Lee Corporation, and Kraft Foods, will support the firm's investment activities. Callahan most recently served as President, CEO, and Executive Director at Hostess Brands, where he led transformative initiatives resulting in significant growth. His tenure culminated in the $5.6 billion acquisition of Hostess Brands by J.M. Smucker. At CD&R, Callahan will leverage his strategic leadership and brand expertise to add value to the firm’s consumer business portfolio. Prior to Hostess Brands, he held senior roles at Tyson Foods and was part of the teams that led Hillshire Brands' IPO and its acquisition by Tyson Foods for $8.4 billion. Callahan's military and engineering background, coupled with his MBA, further enriches his business acumen.
