Amplix Acquires GlobalNet for Enhanced Technology Advisory Services

Amplix, a portfolio company of private equity firm Gemspring Capital, has announced the acquisition of GlobalNet Communications, a major technology advisory services provider headquartered in Fort Myers, Florida. This acquisition marks Amplix's tenth acquisition since it was established as a platform in 2022, although the specific terms of the deal were not disclosed. GlobalNet, founded in 1991, has made a name for itself as a trusted advisor in the fields of data, voice, and cloud technology. The company’s co-leaders, Mahlan and Brittani Houghton, have run operations with a focus on delivering top-grade customer support throughout Florida. Amplix CEO Dan Gill said the acquisition of GlobalNet will bolster Amplix's team and enhance their Florida footprint, marking significant growth supported by both organic activity and prior acquisitions. Brittani Houghton of GlobalNet emphasized the synergies between the two companies, highlighting Amplix's dedication to customer relationships, aligning with GlobalNet's established reputation for quality service. Amplix, headquartered in Norwood, Massachusetts, provides a broad suite of technology advisory services and employs over 200 people across more than 20 states and Canada. Gemspring Capital, based in Westport, Connecticut, manages $3.8 billion in capital and specializes in providing growth capital to middle market companies.
