Alfa Laval Partners with Loyens & Loeff for Fives Cryogenic Acquisition

Loyens & Loeff has been selected to advise the Swedish corporation Alfa Laval on its efforts to acquire Fives Cryogenics, an arm of the Fives Group based in France. A binding put-option agreement has been signed for the acquisition, with a total fixed price set at EUR 800 million on a cash and debt-free basis. This proposed acquisition is currently at the stage where consultation with relevant works councils is awaited. The two parties expect to finalize a definitive purchase agreement following this consultation. Fives Cryogenics specializes in advanced cryogenic heat transfer and pumping technologies and is headquartered in Paris, while Alfa Laval is known for its comprehensive production of heat transfer, separation, and fluid handling solutions at a global scale, headquartered in Lund, Sweden.
