Alejandro Barrau Appointed CEO of Leasys Spain

Leasys Spain, a medium- and long-term car rental company co-owned by automotive giant Stellantis and Crédit Agricole Personal Finance & Mobility, has appointed Alejandro Barrau as its new CEO. This executive reshuffle in Spain is part of Leasys' strategy to enhance growth and operational excellence. Barrau brings over 20 years of experience in sales, mobility services, and marketing within the rental sector. He has been with Leasys for eight years, serving as the deputy managing director and commercial director, and holds a degree in business from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas. The company also promoted Diego García-Escudero Vázquez to commercial director and added Luis Torres Morales as regulatory compliance and risk director. Leasys operates a fleet of nearly 900,000 vehicles across 11 European countries, ranging from Italy to Austria. Stellantis, formed by the merger of PSA Group and Fiat Chrysler, owns various auto brands and holds a significant stake in digital auto retail brands operated by Aramis. Crédit Agricole, a Paris-based cooperative financial institution, provides comprehensive mobility solutions throughout Europe.
