Alcedo SGR Completes Sale of Gourmet Italian Food to Chequers Partenaires

Alcedo SGR, through its Alcedo IV fund, alongside FVS SGR via its Sviluppo PMI fund, and minority shareholders, have successfully completed the sale of Gourmet Italian Food S.p.A. to Gourmet Invest S.p.A., a company owned by Chequers Partenaires S.A., the management entity of Chequers Capital XVIII fund. This transaction marks the conclusion of a strategic initiative by Alcedo, which began in 2019 with the acquisition of a majority stake in Eurochef Italia and the subsequent merger with La Gastronomica, creating Gourmet Italian Food as a leading platform in high-quality gastronomy and ready meals production. Legal advice for the transaction was provided by BonelliErede, Gianni & Origoni, and Russo De Rosa Associati for the sellers, while Chequers Partenaires was assisted by ADVANT Nctm. The banks financing the acquisition were represented by Chiomenti. Gourmet Italian Food demonstrates significant market presence with a revenue exceeding 140 million Euros and a workforce of over 450 employees across its holding and six subsidiary companies.
