AJ Bell to Sell SIPP and SSAS Businesses to InvestAcc for £25m

International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has advised AJ Bell on the divestment of its Platinum SIPP and SSAS business segment to InvestAcc Group. The purchase price is structured at £25 million, with initial payments of £18.5 million, comprising £17.5 million in cash and £1 million in new InvestAcc shares. An additional £6.5 million in cash will be paid on a deferred basis, contingent on certain conditions being met. This transaction, expected to conclude in the latter half of 2025, will see the transfer of 3,600 customers and £3.2 billion of assets under administration to InvestAcc. The legal team at Addleshaw Goddard was led by M&A authority Mark Hallam and consisted of several other key team members, ensuring that pivotal advisory and strategic elements were comprehensively covered.
