Antler Innovation Pte Ltd has invested in AirDodge, a company pioneering U-Space technology to safely manage large-scale drone operations. As urban airspace becomes increasingly congested with drones, effective traffic management has become crucial. The European U-Space standards introduced in 2024 require a system that tracks and authorizes drone movements to avoid collisions with manned aircraft. AirDodge, founded by Umar Chughtai, provides a comprehensive U-Space software platform that includes real-time maps, remote identification, and automated flight authorizations. Despite early challenges, including bureaucratic hurdles in Sweden, AirDodge relocated to Norway attracted by its conducive regulatory environment. With a vision to create safe and accessible low-altitude airspace, Chughtai and his team plan to extend their services across Europe by 2026. Antler’s investment highlights the growing importance and potential of regulated drone markets and AirDodge’s role in setting industry standards.
