Aerones Raises $62 Million to Revolutionize Wind Turbine Maintenance with AI

Latvian technology company Aerones, with major clients including GE and Enel, has secured $62 million in funding to expand its AI-enabled robotics solutions for wind turbine maintenance across more than 30 countries. The funding, led by U.S. investors Activate Capital and S2G Investments, underscores Aerones' expansion into the U.S. market, as it establishes a new Dallas office and hires locally. With the wind energy sector rapidly growing, Aerones' innovative maintenance solution reduces wind turbine downtime by half, optimizing operational efficiency and cutting the high costs associated with prolonged outages. The company, having already enabled significant carbon emissions reduction and clean energy generation, plans an additional $15-$20 million venture debt raise by the end of the year to fortify its aggressive expansion plans.
