Actis, a global investor in sustainable infrastructure, has increased its holdings in the Indian renewable energy sector by acquiring Stride Climate Investments' portfolio. This portfolio comprises 371MW (414MWp) of operational solar PV assets spanning 21 projects across seven states in India, with a significant concentration in Gujarat. The assets have a well-established track record and are supported by long-term power purchase agreements with a diverse set of buyers, including governmental and private entities. This acquisition enables Actis to strengthen its presence in India's renewable energy market, joining two other energy platforms, BluPine Energy and Athena Renewables, under its umbrella. Actis has historically invested over US$7.1 billion in Asia, boasting an impressive 8GW capacity, with 5.5GW in renewable energy.
