Acadian Timber Corp., a leading timberland owner in Eastern Canada and Northeastern USA, has entered an agreement to acquire the assets of A & A Brochu, LLC, which includes harvesting, trucking, and road-building equipment, as well as related real estate in Millinocket, Maine, for a total price of $4.8 million. This acquisition allows Acadian to address historical challenges in harvesting capacity in Maine, enabling better control over operational costs and the implementation of sustainable forestry practices. This strategic purchase is aligned with Acadian's business strategy to maximize cash flow from timberland assets while growing its portfolio through acquisitions. Acadian, listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, manages approximately 2.4 million acres of land and focuses on forest management and timber production.
