CMVC Acquires Orlando Medical Institute, Expanding Healthcare Education Portfolio

Compu-Med Vocational Careers (CMVC) has announced its acquisition of Orlando Medical Institute (OMI) as part of a strategic effort to expand its healthcare education portfolio. This acquisition will enhance CMVC's educational reach by introducing critical emergency medical programs, including Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, and Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Services (A.S. in EMS), across new and existing campuses in Florida. The move is seen as timely given the acute demand for skilled emergency medical professionals in Florida. OMI has long been recognized for providing high-quality, hands-on training in emergency medical response and will continue such training under CMVC's leadership. With this integration, CMVC is poised to offer expanded educational opportunities, thereby strengthening its mission of providing short, impactful programs that equip students for successful careers without the burden of federal student loan debt. Felix and Abigail Marquez, the founders of OMI, along with their team, will remain integral to the ongoing management and expansion of the programs under CMVC.
